Policy: Microsoft 365 Access

Overview

Students are granted Desktop Application & Web Access to the Microsoft 365 suite of applications as long as they are an active student. The applications include:

  • Outlook, OneDrive
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Access, OneNote, Publisher
First Semester of Inactivity

When a student is no longer enrolled in classes, their account becomes restricted. This restricted access, only allows internal communication with Santa Fe, Faculty, and other students. It also restricts the Microsoft Office Desktop suite, to where you can only use the Web Version. Restricted access lasts for one semester. 

Second Semester of Inactivity (After one Spring & Fall)

After two semesters of non-enrollment, a students account will get purged and deleted from the system. It is recommended that when students graduate, or take an extended leave, to make a backup of any files & emails they may deem important, as they will become inaccessible.
